Will we ever get a Flubber Flying car?

Examining the Flying car of Flubber

As you know I liked the 2 Disney movies of The Absent Minded Professor and Son of Flubber starring Fred McMurray. It was great Disney movies back in the early 1960s when Walt Disney and Fred McMurray was alive. But sadly they're now both dead. Anyways this movie was my first inspiration for my Flying car dream since I've seen it on The Family Disney channel back then but now Disney Channel no longer shows it anymore in favor of Teen idol shows. Then the VHS tape came out and I bought the first one. Later the Disney remake of Flubber came Then Absent Minded Professor and Son of Flubber later came out on DVD and I bought both of them. Now lets look at the Flying car and the 3 other Flubber Gadgets that didn't arrive.

Super Jumping Flubber shoes

Ned is a Professor who was supposed to get married to Besty but he never shows up and gets Besty very annoyed with him. And this was because he was too busy with with an experiment with Flubber first failing and then succeeding to the point that his garage blows up but luckily he survives and notices his floating container. He makes a ball and bounces it and it overcomes gravity instead of being pulled by Earths gravity.

Later on he irons Flubber on the heels of shoes for the Medfield basketball team that was losing the game. The super jumping shoes allowed the Medfield basketball players cheat and they won by one point.

Ned also used his super jumping shoes at the dance to win Besty back.

Later Ned demonstrates Alozo Hawk the mean business man how super jumping shoes could save peoples lives but when Mr. Hawk tested out the shoes for himself he couldn't get down and his son Biff had to call the Firefighters to bring him down but they failed. The fisherman tried to bring him down but failed and finally Biff had his football players tackle him down and they succeed.

Later at the warehouse Ned super jumped in an open window to get his stolen flying car back but he had to dodge Mr Hawks men by jumping over them to the point they forced the door open. The super Jumping shoes in Son of Flubber were shown on a film projector at Neds house showing the promise Flubber shoes had.

Now fast forward to the 2010s. Although we do have shoes with bouncing springs in the heels. None have ever super jumped 5 to 10 feet high like Flubber has shown or like in the Super Mario Bros video games.

In Son of Flubber Ned uses his Flubber ray gun to cause clouds to rain but in the process he vandalized alot of windows causing car accidents and broken peoples glasses, broke the glass jewelry and broke milk bottles which got Mr Hawk and police after him.

So Far in the 2010s real world no one has ever caused steam or clouds to rain or snow. But we do have cloud seeding that plane pilots fly to cause rain to fall or reduce the hail storm. But none of them work like the Flubber ray gun which we still don't have.

Also Ned made Flubbergas which Biff and his football buddy was experimenting with so they can win the football game. They were late to the game which their team was losing against. And they made many touchdowns with one flubber suit football player. But near the end the player in the Flubber suit got pumped up like a balloon and floated around until it tore. So the Medfield team used flubbergas in the Football and made a field goal and won the game.
In the real world of 2010s we do not have a way of floating people in suits but there are gliding suits that plane jumpers use but they don't quite slow down the fall. Sorry to say we don't have floating suits like Son of Flubber or in video games Super Mario World, and Super mario 64 ds.

In The Absent minded Professor Ned Brainard succeeds in making Flubber work and he levitated his metal can even with heavy objects on it. He also got his Model T to fly like a helicopter but with perfect stability. He used his flying car for a test run.

Later Ned drove his flying car to get over to the basketball game. After a win from the game Ned decided to crash land his flying car on Bestys new boyfriend to which caused him to drive reckless and crashed into a police car.

Soon Alozo Hawk tried to buy his flying car but was turned down so he stole the flying car and put it in storage. And Ned tried to demonstrate his flying car but it turned out to be a joke and the Air force people were upset and they left him. So Ned decided to get his flying car back which he did but Mr. Hawk tried to shoot at his car but Ned crash landed his flying car on Mr. Hawks car which caused him to crash into the police car and Ned and Besty got away.

He flew all the way to Washington D.C. but some military jet pilots found them and almost crashed into them but Ned flew into the clouds. And the Military was threating to shoot them down with missiles but decided not to. In the end Ned won Bestys heart back and they both got married and drove off in a flying car.

In the Sequel Son of Flubber Ned and Bill Hawk uses his flying car to get home. And used it to attack Bestys former Boyfriend with a rainstorm in his car which his crashed into the police cars. Also Ned and Biff escaped the police by flying away from them.

Now in the 2010s we do have flying cars but none of them work perfectly or smoothly like Neds flying Model T and even the bladed helicopter has stability issues. There has been a flying car test run at the Moller skycar company but it didn't have enough stability to fly untethered. There is a car plane combo called Terrafugia but you need an airport and you have to fly it like a plane. But the steep price of $250,000 will not get people interested in buying one. Maybe we'll get to ride a flying car joyride. But it's safe to say flying cars will not fill the skies due to sky dangers of crashing and falling. But we'll likely have a few flying cars or 1 but not as good as the Flubber flying car.

In conclusion I would recommend you buy these 2 movies they are family friendly. And they show the Flubber Gadgets that didn't arrive mainly the flying car. But don't give up hope there will be a flying car of Flubber but mostly we'll have low hovercars.
